"I was sick and you looked after me."
Matthew 25:36

Aber, Uganda February 2001

Twenty three team members returned to Aber Uganda to stay at the St. John’s Hospital. In 7-8 working days we treated over 6,000 medical patients, performed 103 surgeries, distributed over 1800 pair of glasses, and assisted 30 patents with hearing aids.

The Sisters of Aber hospital took great care of us and showed God’s love in a way that is rarely seen in other parts of the world.

We plan to go back to Aber with a medical and construction team in January, 2002. The nuns live in a convent with an old tin roof with terrible water leaks as well as holes in the walls that let deadly Black Mambas (very poisonous snakes) come into their living quarters.

While there this year we saw many AIDS patients. That is what started our drive to start an Christian AIDS support clinic next to the Aber Hospital.
