Moyo, Uganda - 1994

Fourteen team members traveled the worst road in the world from Entebbe to Kampala to Masindi to Gulu to Adjumani across the Nile after dark and on to Moyo. Through rebel territory with punctures (flat tires), no brakes, and worn out clutch pads, and African killer bees , this would be one more memorable trip.

We were the first American team to come to Moyo. We fell in love with the people and Uganda. We saw over 4,000 patients and introduced hare lip surgery to Northern Uganda by Dr. David Harris.

We were very fortunate in that we were able to catch a military helicopter gun ship on the way back so we would not have to ride back through rebel territory.
