"I was sick and you looked after me."
Matthew 25:36
In
August 1999, Dr. Frank Johnson and Dr. William Harden, supported by
Westminster Medical Missions went as part of a Samaritan’s Purse team to
Honduras. This was in support of the continuing effort of rehabilitation
after Hurricane Mitch the year before.
Daily clinics were held in outlying villages from our starting point of Santa Barbara. Clinics were held in schools after the classes were dismissed so that the children could go home and notify their families of the free clinic. We were with a team of doctors, nurses and Honduran evangelists. The country was beautiful and the people were delightful.
They
were also appreciative of our efforts. Even one year after the
hurricane, it was evident of the damage inflicted upon this country by
the monstrous storm. Samaritan’s Purse is still continuing with aid to
the hurricane’s victims.
